Springsteen Photographer Will Be on “60 Minutes” This Weekend

Clinch

His name is Danny Clinch and he has taken thousands of pictures of Bruce Springsteen. Here is a taste of an article about his appearance on 60 Minutes:

For nearly two decades, Danny Clinch has captured music’s top acts, including fellow New Jerseyan Bruce Springsteen, and Sunday, “60 Minutes” will highlight the photographer’s career.

Clinch, a Toms River native, started his career by taking good stock photos of regular street folk. Then, over time, began shooting big names in 1999, when Springsteen and Bob Dylan hired the former intern of Annie Leibowitz. Since then, Clinch, 51, has photographed everyone from Lady Gaga and Miranda Lambert to Phish, Willie Nelson and Pearl Jam.

A highlight of the segment, tied to Monday’s Grammys where Clinch will work for the 13th year, will include footage of Clinch shooting Springsteen backstage on tour in Pittsburgh last month. His photographic record of The Boss and The E Street Band contains thousands of images, a CBS release said.

“60 Minutes” will air Sunday at 7 p.m. on CBS.
