Conference: The Bible in the Public Square at Duke University

If you are in the Durham, NC area on September 9 or 10 you may want to check out The Bible in the Public Square conference sponsored by the Duke Center for Jewish Studies.  Speakers will include Jacques Berlinerblau, Yaakov Ariel, Mark Chancey, Shalom Goldman, Carol Meyers, David Morgan, Melissa Rogers, and David W. Stowe.  The conference is free and open to the public.

I will be giving a lecture on Monday entitled “Does America Have a Biblical Heritage” as part of a session on “The Bible and the Founding Era.”

I have also heard that the presentations will be live-streamed online at the conference website.
