Mitt Romney’s Campaign Playlist

A few weeks ago we mentioned (in “Sunday Night Odds and Ends”) Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign playlist.  It included Springsteen’s “We Take Care of Our Own,” as well singles by Jennifer Hudson, Darius Rucker, Arcade Fire, James Taylor, REO Speedwagon, Sugarland, Al Green, Ricky Martin, Zac Brown Band, and Montgomery Gentry, to name a few.

Not to be outdone, Mitt Romney has just released his playlist.  No Springsteen on the list, but it does include songs by Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons (“December 1963”), Johnny Cash (“Ring of Fire”), The Beach Boys (“Good Vibrations”); Roy Orbison (“Crying”); Tim McGraw (“It’s Your Love”); The Commodores (“Only You”); Toby Keith (“As Good As I Once Was”); Kid Rock (“Born Free”); Willie Nelson (“Over the Rainbow”); Nat King Cole (“Stardust”), and Carrie Underwood (“All American Girl”).  Check out the entire list here.

OK all you music critics.  What do these musical selections tell us about the candidates?
